UNIFYING MENTAL WELLNESS

Join us for the 1st Annual Unifying Mental Wellness event May 20th, 2023 at Unity Park in Greenville, SC from 1pm - 5pm. This free event will include community resources, education, health screenings, HERO games, yard activities and face paint for the entire family. Food trucks will be available to purchase tasty meals and treats.

 

Universal Therapeutic Services and the Wellbeing Partnership of Greenville County have joined forces to request a call to action. A call to Unify our diverse community around the common theme of Mental Wellness. We are calling all neighborhood associations, community-based mental health and substance use providers, health care providers, law enforcement, front-line emergency response workers, nonprofits organizations and allies to help bridge the gaps in care to increase collaborations and connectivity to community resources. 

 

The prevalence of mental health conditions and substance misuse associated with stigma due to cultural perceptions of mental illness remains at the forefront of public health issues plaguing our city. This call to action is to help foster a community of mental wellness by decreasing stigma, shame, and guilt while providing necessary resources to address grief, depression, anxiety and substance misuse.
